The new home market remained steady as we move into the final week of August.

Our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch reported very slight weekly increases in both traffic and net sales.  Spec inventory also fell by two percent week-to-week.  The cancellation rate remained above 25% for the ninth straight week, rising each week in August thus far.  There were no new home communities reported to us this week.
