Home Builders Research, Inc. is pleased to bring you some new housing reports that we feel will be very important for those that follow new home sales activity in the southern Nevada area. One of our goals for the past 20 years has been to offer the most accurate and affordable housing reports available. To that regard we offer our INTERACTIVE HOUSING MARKET FILES. Each month we update the data gleaned from our Weekly Traffic/Sales Watch reports. You can purchase one report as you need it, or get them sent by email each month automatically. We have attached a sample file for your viewing.
Here’s how it works. First, save the file to your computer. You can only open the file in Google Earth® (GE), therefore you will need to load GE (from Googleearth.com) to your computer, if you haven’t already. (The basic Google Earth® software is free.) If GE is loaded to your computer, just double click the file and it will open.
On the left side of the page there are GE menus. Under Places you will see Temporary Places, and then our file, sample BY AVE PRICE.kmz. Click in the blank box next to the file and “shazam,” subdivisions appear. This is the data we have loaded to the file. Now, double click on our file and zoom to that location. Click the left boxes to expand the tree, and price ranges appear. Initially, they will all be checked, however you can control what price ranges of subdivisions appear by which boxes are checked. You can see the location of the subdivisions in whatever price range you select.
Now another cool part of this product. Put your cursor on whatever subdivision you want and click on the marker. (Each builder has a unique marker.) A summary of the sales activity from that month, unsold units, sold to date, net sales per month, square footage, and other information is listed. We have even included a link to the builder or sales company’s web site in case you want to view the floor plans.
You can zoom in or out, and move around the valley checking out your competition. There is additional data (layers) from Google Earth® on the lower left (roads, traffic conditions, etc) that you can add to your screen. You can save your work, or print it out. So far, we have put together files by AVERAGE PRICE, MARKET AREA, SQUARE FOOTAGE, BY BUILDER, and a ZIP CODE OVERLAY. And, we do entertain custom requests.
