For the week ending April 19, 2015, new home buyer traffic and sales remained basically unchanged from the previous week, according to our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch. Buyer Traffic per Subdivision stayed right around 20 and the Net Sales per Subdivision was a 0.8. KB Home and Lennar Homes posted the largest market share with just over 18% of weekly net sales each. Century Communities, Del Webb/Pulte, Shea Homes, and Storybook Homes also reported good sales numbers on a "per Subdivision" level. Century's Rhodes Ranch Sales Center reported 5 net sales for the week to lead all projects.
While overall totals have stayed roughly the same, we're observing that instead of two or three builders accounting for big chunks of weekly sales (as was the case for most of 2015 thus far), it seems things are more spread out with more builders reporting more sales across the board.
There were two newly reporting communities this week, both in Henderson master plans. Ryland Homes reported a sale for their Huntington & Monroe lines in Cadence where prices range from $244,990 to $280,990. Lake Las Vegas is boasting an all new community for the first time in quite a while with William Lyon's high end Lago Vista project with plans from 4292 to 5032 square feet and prices starting just below $900,000.
