For the week ending April 26, 2015 new home sales activity jumped to a new high for the year when looking at Net Sales per Subdivision on our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch. This figure reached 1.1, the first time it has been greater than 1 since June of 2014. This coincides with other markets around the country, particularly resales, which will eventually transfer over to new homes. This is a good thing with some of the negative national press regarding new home starts over the past few weeks. Buyer Traffic, on the other hand, stayed fairly consistent with what we've seen.
Lennar Homes, once again, reported a great week with over 40 net sales, the first time that figure has been reached in recent memory. KB Home also posted a big number with over 30. Overall, over 60% of Subdivisions reported at least 1 Net Sale per Project for the week. Three subdivisions from three different master planned communities (Providence, Mountains Edge, and Summerlin) reported the highest individual sales number with 5 each.
There was another round of new communities reporting, six of them to be exact. Lennar's Aventine in Henderson (137 lots), Willow Creek in Mountains Edge from Richmond American (3050 to 3800 SqFt), Sky Pointe (NW) and Aragon (SW) from Ryland Homes, Shadow Pointe in the Northwest from Summit Homes ($259,500 to $294,900), and Altura at the Paseos in Summerlin from Toll Brothers, Inc. (119 Lots, $600,000+).
