For the week ending July 5, 2015, the new home segment in the Las Vegas valley reported lackluster, if not expected, numbers as published in our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch.
Consumer traffic and net sales both dropped slightly from previous weeks with under 17 "buying units" per subdivision went out shopping and net sales per subdivision coming in at only 0.5. Lennar Homes continued to roll along in 2015 with 20 net sales, nearly double that of the closest competitor this week. Its West End community in the Providence master plan led all local projects with 5 net sales but we can't forget about Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite which continues to post strong numbers eight years into its existence, reporting 6 net sales.
Looking at base prices, we are reporting mainly stable numbers this week with the exception of some rises by Pardee Homes as well as notable drops (yes that's correct) by Woodside Homes in the Cadence master plan in Henderson.
Also being released this week was our Quarterly Traffic and Sales Summary for the 2nd Quarter of 2015. This report compiles and summarizes our weekly numbers for the quarter with numerous useful charts and graphs to go along with totals for each subdivision that reported over the last three months. We've included below a graph for the top selling subdivisions for the 2nd quarter.
