After four straight weeks of the highest sales totals of 2016, the new home segment of the Las Vegas housing industry regressed to the level seen for most of the rest of the year thus far. That being said the overall average Net Sales per Subdivision as reported in the Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch for the week ending March 27th, was still a respectable 0.7. The trend of high overall totals for certain individual builders (based on past data we'd say anything over 30 net sales stands out to us) continued led by DR Horton who totaled nearly 40 sales (21.3% market share) for the week across 29 projects (12.4% market share). KB Home also finished a very strong March bringing their monthly net sales total to 110. DR Horton also claimed the top selling individual project with their Fort Apache Ranch Cove III line which tallied eight net sales.
We reported two new communities this week starting with Parkview by Century Communities. Another project in a great location just south of the 215 (and adjacent to their solid performer Westmont), Parkview is a large (350 lot) community offering nine plans ranging from 1603 to 2643 square feet with prices starting at $249,990.
Lennar's Windsor Square was the other new community this week which is also located in the SW and totals 53 lots which are split between two different parcels of land, just down the street (Buffalo Dr.) from each other. They are offering three 2-story plans starting at $304,990.
