For April, there was plenty of activity by home builders including lot take downs by Shea Homes at Ardiente in North Las Vegas and William Lyon Homes at Silver Ridge in Summerlin. DR Horton, Pardee Homes, and Storybook Homes all added to their portfolios as well. Blue Heron Design-Build also made an interesting move in acquiring a 2.5 acre parcel in the "midtown" area west of I-15 near Rancho Circle. They are the second builder to move into this "old Vegas money" neighborhood in recent months following DR Horton, who is currently selling high-end individual custom homes under their luxury "Emerald Homes" label.
Additionally, we are reporting nearly 4,500 apartment units changing hands, including nearly $500,000,000 worth of transactions by national multi-family giant Camden USA Inc. Yes, that's half-a-billion dollars...
