JOHN LEE

Mayor John J. Lee was elected to the North Las Vegas City Council in April 2013. As an Eagle Scout, John Lee began his commitment to public service at a young age. His commitment to public service continued as he served on various commissions and boards through elected office as a Nevada State Assemblyman and Nevada State Senator. John's private sector experiences as a business man provide a good foundation for leading.

John's first job was with the Culinary Union as a dishwasher at the Silver Nugget on Las Vegas Boulevard. In 1975, John began working in the plumbing trade, and continued working the tradecraft at various construction projects throughout the Las Vegas Valley, using the family station wagon as his plumbing truck. He eventually turned his craft into a successful plumbing company.

He was elected to the Nevada Assembly in 1996. Serving two terms as an Assemblyman, John was known as a champion of bipartisanship and for his commitment to common sense solutions to complex problems.

After a brief absence from public office, John was elected to the Nevada Senate in 2004 where he served on the committees of Legislative Operations and Elections; Energy, Infrastructure, and Transportation; and was the Chairman of Government Affairs, where he was responsible for working with city and county government officials throughout Nevada.


TIM SULLIVAN

Managing Pricipal, Myers Research LLC

Tim has more than 33 years experience in analyzing and valuing real estate development opportunities all over the United States and Latin America. He has developed the ability to interpret diverse statistics and trends and translate them into actionable plans. Tim’s personal commitment to his clients is to constantly assess the economy, real estate market and consumer trends to identify the newest and best ways to profitably invest and develop.

During his career, Tim was senior manager with KPMG Peat Marwick’s National Real Estate Consulting Group before serving as principal of Hanley Wood Market Intelligence’s Real Estate Consulting Practice and his own firm. He earned an MBA with a concentration in marketing and finance from San Diego State University, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of California, San Diego. He also holds a MIRM (Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing) from the National Association of Homebuilders.

SPENCER BALLIF

Senior Vice President - Multifamily, CBRE Capital Markets

Spencer Ballif joined CBRE as a market researcher for the summers of 1989 to 1990 and was hired as an apartment salesman in May 1991. Mr. Ballif has sold over $5 billion in apartment property representing 58,128 units since joining CBRE.  He was the #1 salesman for the Las Vegas office in 2013, 2015, & 2016.

Mr. Ballif earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with related course work in Real Estate Analysis from Arizona State University. Spencer graduated Magna Cum Laude and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.

JOHN RESTREPO

Principal - RCG Economics

John Restrepo is the Principal of Las Vegas-based RCG Economics.  He directs the firm's economic and financial consulting activities and is an expert in regional economics. 

For 34 years, John has analyzed regional economic and real estate trends in a number of complex markets, including Nevada, Arizona, California, and Texas. His 25 years of urban economics experience has given him a broad range of skills and technical expertise in assessing the effects of local, regional and national economic trends on urban economies and their real estate markets. John’s clients include some of the most prominent private and public western U.S.-based organizations concerned with development and growth.

John has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Louisiana. He also holds a M.A. in Economics and Latin American Studies from Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge.


JOHN MCLAURY

VP of Sales & Marketing - KB Home

John McLaury, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for KB HOME NEVADA, has a diversified professional background encompassing over 30 years in residential homebuilding including all aspects of the business from land acquisition to post closing follow-up especially in construction, marketing and sales. He owned and operated his own construction company in Colorado from 1975 to 1988, and he was a Broker Associate with RE/MAX from 1985 to 1988. In 1988, he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he was a new home sales professional for a large private homebuilder for six years. From 1994 to 1999, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for two different homebuilders, and in 1999, he joined the KB HOME Team as a Regional Sales Manager. 

During his tenure at KB, John has been instrumental in building and leading a sales/sales management team in Las Vegas consisting of over 100 people, closing over 3,800 homes in three consecutive years from 2004 through 2006 and more than 2,900 homes each year from 1999 through 2003, “right-sizing” the sales/sales management team as the market changed, and “re-tooling” to compete in the market during economic hard times to maintain his Company’s market share of new home sales in the Las Vegas Valley and compete against resale houses and other builders. Through the downturn, KB HOME sustained a healthy market share and as the housing market improved, KB HOME’S business improved with annual closings increasing each year on a course for nearly 1,000 deliveries this year. In his sales and marketing role at KB HOME, John is a vitally important member of the Team contributing his years of experience and expertise in many areas of the Company’s business to achieve the Company’s business plan.
