Greeting once again after a few weeks' absence. We hope everyone was able to enjoy the holiday weekend!
For the week ending November 30, 2014 we are again reporting similar sales and traffic number as we have been seeing for about three months now. Net Sales per Subdivision numbers around 0.5 and Traffic per Subdivision figures between 13 and 16. Again as has been the case, only three builders reached double digit Net Sales for the week with DR Horton accounting for nearly 25% of all reported sales after a couple of relatively slower weeks.
Their Silverleaf community in the far Southwest once again reported strong numbers with 9 Net Sales to lead all subdivisions. Silverleaf reported 21 Net Sales for the month of November, more than all but six builders over that time.
There were, as expected, no new communities reporting this week. We did report many price adjustments across the board, although many of those may have been from previous weeks and are just now being updated.
Going into the final month of 2014, the big public builders have continued to dominate the Las Vegas market in terms of Net Sales. American West Homes has also stayed atop of the pack of privately owned builders, partly due to well located communities in the Southwest part of the valley. Overall, we will surely see the seasonal drop off continue as we end the year. As many "larger" national research companies are reporting in the last few days, the market is "soldiering on" amidst affordability and qualification issues, just to name a couple.
