The new home market stayed consistent for the 4th straight week to begin September.

Our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch reported another very slight weekly increase in net sales and a 15% week-to-week drop in buyer traffic.  While it was a less-than-stellar overall total, it was the highest weekly net sales number we have reported since mid-June.  This is despite the cancellation rate jumping up again slightly for the fifth straight week.  Once again the "big dogs" are accounting for the majority of the sales.  Lennar finished the week with 1/3 of all net sales and publicly traded companies accounted for 88% of weekly sales.    

We reported two new communities this week starting with Glenwood from KB Home located in the southwest with 93 lots.  Blacktail from Pulte Homes is located in Summerlin and offers 3-story plans between 2,300 and 2,600 square feet starting under $600,000.
