Las Vegas homebuilders reported another steady week of sales to start the month of May.

For the week ending May 5th we are reporting just under 200 overall new home sales for the first time in three weeks but, on average, velocities were still in the "above average" category coming in at 0.8 sales per project according to the Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch.

The sales that did occur were spread out across the industry with only 15 percent of builders reporting an average of more than one sales per community. Pulte Homes/Del Webb and Harmony Homes were the top performers on average.  Pulte's Diamond Trails (SW), Harmony's Highlands (East), and Lennar Homes' Rose Ridge (Henderson) were the top selling communities with five net sales each.

There were two new projects reporting this week, both attached products.  Evolve from Pardee Homes is in the southwest sub-market and has base prices in the low $300,000s and Morning Ridge from Lennar is 117 unit project in North Las Vegas with prices starting in the mid-$200,000s.  See the map at the end of this post for the exact locations.  The addition of these two attached products brings the market share of this segment to 11 percent of active communities.

The number of attached products in the Southern Nevada market continues to rise.
