New home buyers signed 5% more new contracts than the previous week.

Our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch reported over 220 new home net sales (new sales minus cancellations) with a week to go in April.  This month's total will be the lowest of the year, possibly down over 25% from March's total (1,256).  

We reported two new communities opening last week, one with traditional detached product, the other with attached townhomes.  Libretto at Cadence is Richmond American Homes latest offering in the Henderson master planned community.  They reported the first two sales of the 159 total lots with plans ranging from 1,309 to 1,484 square feet and base prices starting in the high $300,000s.  Jasper Point from Beazer Homes is also in Henderson and will finish with 176 homesites.  Prices here are currently similar to Libretto.
