September ended as the best selling month of Q3 2022

Our Weekly Traffic & Sales Watch reported a 10 percent week-to-week decrease in overall new home net sales as the cancellation rate once again increased to nearly 50 percent.  It was the fourth time this year that net sales fell below 100, and the first since early August.  The chart this week shows the quarterly net sales totals since 2019.  We see that Q3 2022 has the lowest total on the graph.    

We reported three new communities this week, bring the September total to nine.  Diamond Ranch Cottages from DR Horton is in the southwest and has 76 lots with 2-story SFR products priced in the low $400,000s.  KB Home opened the Landings and Reserves at Saguaro North, also in the southwest, with 180 total lots and base prices from about $375,000 to $500,000.
